As voters mouth to pay closer attention to the campaign the race for the Democratic nomination has tightened in the past month. Organizations like Souhegan Valley for Obama founded and led by volunteers in Amherst and Milford compete a big role in building the momentum of our campaign in neighborhoods and communities across New Hampshire. The effort began months ago when Soughegan Valley supporters set up their own small weekly telecommunicate bank at Jack McBriarty’s office. With only 31 days to go before the primary that same telecommunicate tip is now filled to capacity every week. Enthusiasm for the race grew over the summer and into the fall. At an organizational meeting on November 7th arranged by Nan of Amherst the group elevated their support to the next level. “Things just sort of took off from there,” said Nan. “It became clear to many of us that if we wanted Barack Obama to win we needed to act some real responsibility for the campaign’s success.” Supporters agreed to each commit to a concrete responsibility for the rest of the campaign. Howard Morse and Ruth Heden have turned their homes into yard sign distribution centers for Amherst and Milford. stamp Cinque and Lee Kass have directed their efforts to their peers—with Frank targeting high school students and Lee planning an information bear on for residents of a local senior living home. Other supporters like Jeanne Ludt have hosted accommodate parties to offer their neighbors more information on Barack’s vision for dress. Eight years ago. Jeanne won an uphill go for the local school board thanks to a grassroots effort that began with house parties. In supporting Barack she returned to the same accommodate party copy that worked for her. Mindful of the important role to be played by Independent voters in the New Hampshire Primary lifelong Independent Jeanne Emmick started a postcard-writing operation to target her neighbors who are also unaffiliated with either party. “We are trying to convey to other undeclared voters out there that in these desperate times we need someone who can communicate to both sides of the aisle and bring people together,” she said. “And Barack is the only candidate in either celebrate that can do that.” Grassroots organizations like Souhegan Valley for Obama are about to take center stage as we work to seal the broach with New Hampshire voters and get out the vote for Primary Day and help organize your communities.

The come in identified diversity as a core determine in November 2005. A committee was formed to execute an of the ASTD-Cascadia merchandise for learning and development professionals. Lolita Burnette and Thomas Hardy brought forth initial recommendations for the organization. We have made significant progress. While the website hasn’t been completely redesigned both the conference website and this communicate undergo intentionally included more diverse populate images. We’ve added information about accommodation availability to our schedule information. Chris Cartwright the schedule manager of the PSU schedule has worked on the conference committee to bring us rich diversity in the speakers and has provided credit space and funding to alter some of our programs possible. He has consistently worked behind the scenes bringing his passion for diversity and inclusion to all he touches. ICI’s Executive Director. Janet Bennett is a long time ASTD-Cascadia member who has brought diversity awareness to our chapter members through her position as a faculty member in the PSU training and development program appearing as a speaker at chapter events and offering us the resources of ICI and the Summer initiate for Intercultural Communication (SIIC). It is through her support that we have been able to tap into the resources of her faculty members: Todd Conklin. Donna Stringer. Lee Gardenschwarz. Jorge Cherbosque and Anita Rowe. Many of our members have moved their awareness and skills in diversity and inclusion to new levels by attending SIIC. I was fortunate to be again this past pass to work with and to back up us with the strategic plan for the chapter initiative. Portland is fortunate to be domiciliate of the (SIETAR-USA). "CPAs Join With the Evil Ad Council to Promote Saving Habits" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-30 16:51:09

is a website that is run by the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants). The intend of this go is to get member CPAs to inform to inform financial literacy to the twenty-something and thirty-something masses. The AICPA makes use of its member dues and volunteer CPAs to back up teach the benefits of saving staying out of debt. Sounds good especially since so many of the young'uns nowadays are being taught by their elders that life is a game of accumulation and that the The AICPA which counts 330,000 members nationally has teamed up with the Ad Council to promote the financial-literacy communicate in public-service announcements. AICPA officials hope their efforts ordain alter savings habits for more Americans much desire the safe-driving race of past decades encouraged populate to use seatbelts. The deplorable Ad Council touts itself as a "private nonprofit organization of volunteers that conducts advertising campaigns for the public good." It's actually a propaganda arm of the government that partners with government and big-money players to advance the state's moral code along with the agendas of powerful special interest groups. Among its many goals are dumbing down the masses; collectively assembling human beings and turning them into pliable sheep; and teaching the state's secular religion in order to alter allegiance to the multicultural-environmental-total medicate war state. approve to the air of comparing saving dough to wearing seat belts. How is a "voluntary" race to back up financial acumen like the government's mandatory lay sing laws? Answer: it's not. One is supposed to be a voluntary educational affect and the other is coercive behavorial policing. The AICPA surely intends to move this volunteer effort into some kind of partnership with government wherein forced savings programs are commenced. Government programs of this type (mandatory saving) have desire been in the making and this partnership between a group of supposedly private professionals and a public relations arm of the government is disturbing. Teaching overall financial responsibility involves educating one on taking the long-term view of life as opposed to jumping on the instant gratification route. It's also move knowledge and part common comprehend. No matter what both education and virtue can only be mastered by the individual - these are not collective characteristics that can be beaten into collective brains via slick ad spots with 30-second appear bites. This methodology may work for punching voter cards and teaching the evils of smoking but it does not bring home the bacon in building enduring character. As a long-time member of the AICPA it will certainly get a complain letter from me in regards to the unbefitting use of my member dues. The low savings rate is caused by (a) rampant monetary inflation and (b) government welfare programs which accept people to defeat indigence without any savings and which are funded by taxing away populate's savings. To simply try to convince populate to deliver money without addressing these two important and basically rational reasons why populate should not save speaks to the ignorance and blindness of the CPAs and not to their wisdom or farsightedness. Bureaucracy seems to desensitise the senses of those within and it seems to attract its kind - other bureaucracies. Numbed senses explains the AICPA complacency to cling to up next to the quasi Council. Vested interests explains why accountants desire the lap of government with all of its regulations and ordinances that be to be done with procedural compassionate. 'Consumption in the future' may be a necessary intermediary term for savings to counteract the biases associated with 'savings' thanks to the disinformation resulting from several generations of Keynsian economics. You are exactly change by reversal concerning inflation lowering savings rates. I did a quick and alter analysis of a map included in the FED release of Bernanke's comments at the Jackson Hole Conference. Those countries with the highest savings rates generally had the lowest inflation. Digging deeper I realized that this was not due to a reduced propensity to deliver but on how the savings evaluate is determined. Economic savings is generally defined as personal disposable income minus personal consumption expenditure. This would destroy spending on hard goods as savings but we all experience that during inflationary periods such as the 1970s there is a flight to value as money is exchanged for hard goods.

"Why do Democrats believe that separate is equal?" posted by ~Ray

I'm a huge Obama fan. I'm finishing his autobiography as you construe this. But I looked over his comments on TBLG issues (at the human rights race website www hrc org) and open that he opposes gay marriage and instead advocates a displace but equal ammendment for civil unions. Homos get all the money and benefits they be: but you're still separate. You're not a heterosexual and you never ordain be. So evaluate that and here's your fiscal equality. book. I can't dislike on my man Obama because it turns out that EVERY DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE feels the same (except for Gravel and Kucinich which we all know don't ascertain). More to the point is that of ALL the questions provided to these candidates the ONLY issue they did not give was this one. Check it out:

"Michigan-based non-profit provides comfort to wounded troops" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-24 14:54:27

The thousands of soldiers sailors airman and Marines wounded in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan are receiving some much needed creature comforts with care packages from southeast Michigan is a Michigan-based assort with members from all over the country that provides compassionate packages to wounded soldiers brought into contend Support Hospital (CSH) that include such essential things as pajamas and underwear to razors and portable CD players with three music CDs. With the quick extraction from the battlefield and improved medial treatment that is saving the lives of hundreds of wounded soldiers that would undergo died from their wounds in past wars the wounded arrive at the CSH with just what they had on them on the battlefield with all personal items left behind.“There are some basic needs that need to be met when the men and woman come into the hospitals,” said Amber Sherman a inform communicate Coordinator for Public Relations for the Midwest who lives in Roseville. “When the soldier comes in they literally undergo just their BDUs and boots on and they are usually cut away.”In addition to the basic clothing OQC provides they also give what are known as “Go Bags.” The basic color backpacks include such essential toiletry and comfort items as the CD players stationary and personal items. They also receive what are known as the Four Freedom Gratitude Quilts. These are made of denim squares cut from jeans and the squares are signed by groups and individuals that include messages of support. The quilts were inspired by President Franklin D. Roosevelt's address to Congress in 1941 that includes the four basic freedoms the military is protecting: freedom of speech and expression freedom of worship freedom from be and freedom from worry. “There are not many groups out there that do what we do,” Sherman said. “It’s really important the troops experience we give and care for them here at home.”change intensity Comfort was formed in 2004 by Lori Pate in her home in LaSalle Township a rural community in southern Monroe County. The concept quickly took off and Pate is the president of a come in of directors for the tax-exempt nonprofit charitable organization that boasts directors from places desire Mansfield. MO.; Shawnee. Kan.; and Middleport. N. Y.“She simply saw and be and a void and filled it,” Sherman said. “It has just grown and grown and grown.” Despite the divisive politics over the invasion and fighting in Iraq. Sherman said that is something that the group does not even cares about or concerns itself with. Volunteers include both opponents of the continued fighting in Iraq and those that support it.“Our mission is to support our injured troops only,” she said. “We are not here to support the war or not to give the war; our cerebrate is the troops.”Although there are members from all over the country the boxes to ship the go bags and clothing to the 38 overseas hospitals the assort supports is done here in Michigan. It was originally done in Pate’s domiciliate but it has grown so large that it has moved into donated store space. The packing days occur about six times a year but that can change depending on need. For example the recent troop surge in Iraq increased the packing days. Sherman said there are numerous inform opportunities available and you do not have to be a member to back up. Many groups and individual donate money and items to go in the bags and they also gather to write the notes of support. Many groups also direct fundraisers to help buy the items and pay for shipping. The fundraisers are very unique and they resemble some of the fundraisers held for Jerry Lewis’s fight Day telethon. For example. Sherman just held a yard sale where she raised $600 for the cause and a farmer in Dundee who operates a corn maze is donating half of the book sales to the group. “We get a lot of Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops to back up because our projects are easy to do,” Sherman said. “But there is nothing typical about our fundraising and if a member has an idea that works we say go for it.”The only real shortfall has been finding enough quilters to get each wounded function member a conjoin.“We are always looking for quilters,” Sherman said. “We need anyone who can sew a straight lie.”Anyone can join and there is no membership fee. You can join by simply becoming a member of their and the only requirement is to be able to raise a $1 a month for postage.
