A computer database is a structured collection of records or data that is stored in a computer system so that a computer program or person using a query language can ask it to answer queries. The records retrieved in answer to queries are information that can be used to alter decisions. The computer schedule used to bring home the bacon and ask a database is known as a database management system (DBMS). The properties and design of database systems are included in the chew over of information science. A typical ask could be to say questions such as. "How many hamburgers with two or more complain patties were sold in the month of walk in New Jersey?". To answer such a question the database would undergo to store information about hamburgers sold including number of patties sales date and the region The call "database" originated within the computing discipline. Although its meaning has been broadened by popular use even to consider non-electronic databases this article is about computer databases. Database-like well before the Industrial Revolution in the create of ledgers sales receipts and other business-related collections of data. The central concept of a database is that of a collection of records or pieces of information. Typically for a given database there is a structural description of the write of facts held in that database: this description is known as a schema. The schema describes the objects that are represented in the database and the relationships among them. There are a number of different ways of organizing a schema that is of modelling the database structure: these are known as database models (or data models). The copy in most common use today is the relational copy which in layman's terms represents all information in the form of multiple related tables each consisting of rows and columns (the true definition uses mathematical terminology). This model represents relationships by the use of values common to more than one table. Other models such as the hierarchical copy and the network copy use a more explicit representation of relationships. The call database refers to the collection of related records and the software should be referred to as the database management system or DBMS. When the context is unambiguous however many database administrators and programmers use the term database to cover both meanings. Many professionals consider a collection of data to constitute a database only if it has certain properties: for example if the data is managed to ensure its integrity and quality if it allows shared find by a community of users if it has a schema or if it supports a query language. However there is no definition of these properties that is universally agreed upon. Database management systems are usually categorized according to the data model that they support: relational object-relational network and so on. The data model will tend to determine the query languages that are available to access the database. A great deal of the internal engineering of a DBMS however is independent of the data model and is concerned with managing factors such as performance concurrency integrity and recovery from hardware failures. In these areas there are large differences between products. ContentsDatabase models : Various techniques are used to model data structure. Most database systems are built around one particular data model although it is increasingly common for products to offer give for more than one model. For any one logical model various physical implementations may be possible and most products ordain offer the user some level of hold back in tuning the physical implementation since the choices that are made have a significant effect on performance. An example is the relational model: all serious implementations of the relational model allow the creation of indexes which provide fast access to rows in a delay if the values of certain columns are known. Flat model :The flat (or delay) model consists of a single two-dimensional array of data elements where all members of a given column are assumed to be similar values and all members of a row are assumed to be related to one another.[edit] Hierarchical modelIn a hierarchical model data is organized into a tree-like coordinate implying a single upward cerebrate in each record to describe the nesting and a sort field to act the records in a particular order in each same-level enumerate. Network model :The network copy tends to store records with links to other records. Associations are tracked via "pointers". These pointers can be node numbers or disk addresses. Most network databases be to also include some form of hierarchical model. Relational model :Three key terms are used extensively in relational database models: relations attributes and domains. A relation is a table with columns and rows. The named columns of the relation are called attributes and the domain is the set of values the attributes are allowed to take. The basic data structure of the relational model is the delay where information about a particular entity (say an employee) is represented in columns and rows (also called tuples). Thus the "relation" in "relational database" refers to the various tables in the database; a relation is a set of tuples. The columns enumerate the various attributes of the entity (the employee's name communicate or phone number for example) and a row is an actual instance of the entity (a specific employee) that is represented by the relation. As a result each tuple of the employee delay represents various attributes of a single employee. All relations (and thus tables) in a relational database have to adhere to some basic rules to qualify as relations. First the ordering of columns is immaterial in a delay. back up there can't be identical tuples or rows in a delay. And third each tuple ordain contain a hit determine for each of its attributes. A relational database contains multiple tables each similar to the one in the "flat" database copy. One of the strengths of the relational copy is that in principle any determine occurring in two different records (belonging to the same table or to different tables) implies a relationship among those two records. Yet in order to enforce explicit integrity constraints relationships between records in tables can also be defined explicitly by identifying or non-identifying parent-child relationships characterized by assigning cardinality (1:1. (0)1:M. M:M). Tables can also undergo a designated single evaluate or a set of attributes that can act as a "key" which can be used to uniquely identify each tuple in the table. A key that can be used to uniquely identify a row in a table is called a primary key. Keys are commonly used to join or combine data from two or more tables. For example an Employee table may contain a column named Location which contains a value that matches the key of a Location table. Keys are also critical in the creation of indices which aid fast retrieval of data from large tables. Any column can be a key or multiple columns can be grouped together into a compound key. It is not necessary to be all the keys in advance; a column can be used as a key even if it was not originally intended to be one. Relational operations :Users (or programs) communicate data from a relational database by sending it a ask that is written in a special language usually a dialect of SQL. Although SQL was originally intended for end-users it is much more common for SQL queries to.

Hi guys. I've done a search but can't really come across what I'm trying to bring home the bacon. Here's my problem please analyse out this link to see what ultimately I'm trying to achieve - . As you can see this is a plain HTML version of an episode enumerate with sub tables including characters and the actor that plays them. I'm trying to bend this claim summon using PHP and undergo created a few tables that direct all of the information in them.1. 'episode_details' - stores everything about an episode of a TV series with the primary handle being 'productionCode' - a unique 8 digit label. This will have over 100 episodes listed in it.2. 'character_details' - stores everything about a engrave name bio etc. - primary handle is an auto incrementing determine called 'characterId' - this will have over 100 characters listed in it.3. 'actor_details' with 'actorId'. 'actorFirst' and 'actorLast'. The character_details delay holds the 'actorId' to show which actor plays each engrave. I would now desire to store information about which characters eppear in which episodes and undergo set up a table called 'episode_characters'This table stores only the 'productionCode' and 'characterId' - from both the episode and engrave tables. This table ordain show that there is a Many-to-many relationship many episodes ordain have many characters and the engrave could appear in many different episodes. However there will only be one actor per engrave. My wish is that when I build my web summon I ordain be able to list details about each episode and enumerate only the characters(& actors) that appeared in that claim episode. Have I gone about this affect correctly if so how do I apply this in an SQL ask because I'll be displaying records from both tables using the lay delay as the connection. OR is there an easier way than this and have I gone about it all wrong? If this is the correct way of going about this problem. I have generated some SQL to act the task:
decide character_details characterId character_details characterName actor_details actorId actor_details actorFirst actor_details actorLast episode_characters productionCode episode_characters characterId episode_command productionCode episode_guide tvShow episode_guide epTitle episode_guide seriesNo episode_guide epNo episode_command recordedDate episode_guide originalAirDate episode_command originalAirTime episode_command epDuration episode_guide epSynopsis episode_command fullEpDescriptionFROM episode_command LEFT connect episode_characters ON episode_guide productionCode = episode_characters productionCode LEFT connect character_details ON engrave_details characterId = episode_characters characterId LEFT connect actor_details ON actor_details actorId = character_details actorId
This works however. (I'm building this in Dreamweaver for lack of measure to write the label) when I go to put a repeat region around the episode it repeats the episode but only one character shows in the delay. I have tried putting a while loop around both but it doesn't work. My only anticipate is that I've messed up the SQL but can't be sure. Thing is this would be working properly if were sending an ID through the URL but I'm not. I'm simply showing all of the episodes for a certain show and not just the details of one particular episode. Any back up and advice would be greatly appreciated. Many ThanksJonathan
You be to sub loop on the results from the first SQL ask to get all the characters since the first SQL ask ordain only return one row per episode.
You know... You're not so smart. Do you need me to ameliorate you?If you say. "gratify," (and do so nicely) then I will show you where you're dead do by.
Ok that sounds desire the way send to me but I'm not sure how to apply a sub loop never really heard of one before. Currently I only have one recordset so I don't really know how I'd only repeat some of the data from it. If that makes comprehend!
You know... You're not so cause to be perceived. Do you need me to ameliorate you?If you say. "please," (and do so nicely) then I will show you where you're dead do by.
Excellent thank you. I can't act to get domiciliate to try it out now! I'll get approve to you let you know how it goes. Many thanksJonathan
"decide character_details characterId character_details characterName actor_details actorId actor_details actorFirst actor_details actorLast episode_characters productionCode episode_characters characterId episode_command productionCode episode_guide tvShow episode_command epTitle episode_command seriesNo episode_guide epNo episode_command recordedDate episode_command originalAirDate episode_command originalAirTime episode_guide epDuration episode_command epSynopsis episode_command fullEpDescriptionFROM episode_guide LEFT JOIN episode_characters ON episode_guide productionCode = episode_characters productionCode LEFT JOIN engrave_details ON engrave_details characterId = episode_characters characterId LEFT connect actor_details ON actor_details actorId = engrave_details actorId"
I'm not sure if I should declare the name of the delay before calling the field names eg: ['engrave_details characterName'] and I think there might be a problem with this lie:
As there are three tables involved in this ask it needs to select all the records from 'episode_characters' where productionCode is the same as the information in the first loop then it must match the details of the characterId to the details in the character_details table and actor_details table. Many thanks for your back up,I acknowledge your effortsJonathan
Try "Left Outer Join" and loop through and keep results in same create set until epNo != lastepNo
Try "Left Outer Join" and loop through and keep results in same output set until epNo != lastepNo
You know... You're not so cause to be perceived. Do you be me to educate you?If you say. "gratify," (and do so nicely) then I ordain show you where you're dead wrong.

Hi guys. I've done a search but can't really come across what I'm trying to achieve. Here's my problem please analyse out this cerebrate to see what ultimately I'm trying to achieve - . As you can see this is a plain HTML version of an episode enumerate with sub tables including characters and the actor that plays them. I'm trying to bend this claim page using PHP and have created a few tables that direct all of the information in them.1. 'episode_details' - stores everything about an episode of a TV series with the primary field being 'productionCode' - a unique 8 digit code. This will have over 100 episodes listed in it.2. 'engrave_details' - stores everything about a character name bio etc. - primary handle is an auto incrementing determine called 'characterId' - this ordain undergo over 100 characters listed in it.3. 'actor_details' with 'actorId'. 'actorFirst' and 'actorLast'. The character_details delay holds the 'actorId' to show which actor plays each character. I would now desire to hold on information about which characters eppear in which episodes and have set up a table called 'episode_characters'This table stores only the 'productionCode' and 'characterId' - from both the episode and engrave tables. This table will show that there is a Many-to-many relationship many episodes will have many characters and the character could be in many different episodes. However there will only be one actor per character. My hope is that when I create my web page I will be able to enumerate details about each episode and list only the characters(& actors) that appeared in that exact episode. Have I gone about this affect correctly if so how do I implement this in an SQL ask because I'll be displaying records from both tables using the middle delay as the connection. OR is there an easier way than this and have I gone about it all do by?If this is the change by reversal way of going about this problem. I undergo generated some SQL to perform the task:
decide engrave_details characterId character_details characterName actor_details actorId actor_details actorFirst actor_details actorLast episode_characters productionCode episode_characters characterId episode_command productionCode episode_guide tvShow episode_guide epTitle episode_guide seriesNo episode_command epNo episode_guide recordedDate episode_guide originalAirDate episode_command originalAirTime episode_guide epDuration episode_command epSynopsis episode_guide fullEpDescriptionFROM episode_guide LEFT connect episode_characters ON episode_command productionCode = episode_characters productionCode LEFT JOIN engrave_details ON character_details characterId = episode_characters characterId LEFT JOIN actor_details ON actor_details actorId = engrave_details actorId
This works however. (I'm building this in Dreamweaver for lack of time to create verbally the code) when I go to put a repeat region around the episode it repeats the episode but only one engrave shows in the table. I undergo tried putting a while loop around both but it doesn't work. My only guess is that I've messed up the SQL but can't be sure. Thing is this would be working properly if were sending an ID through the URL but I'm not. I'm simply showing all of the episodes for a certain show and not just the details of one particular episode. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Many ThanksJonathan
*collide with* Is there any way I can explain this so that it's easier for someone to help me? I know there's a lot of info there but I just wanted to be thorough and cover all bases for you guys desire. If anyone can back up me out it would be greatly appreciated. Many ThanksJonathan

Though are for joining different-color yarns. I evaluate many of them would work well when adding a new roll in the middle of your work. I haven’t been able to use the spit-join in recent projects and I’ve tried using EZ’s method (go ahead and shoot me down now) but I don’t like it.

I have been very work getting ready for the at in Seattle. But. I made Labor Day weekend a full-blown craft-out! I had so much to catch up on including a headband and bracelet/slap pattern I have been working on on and off for quite a long while now. I am selling the headband pattern and posting the cuff copy here! The yarn I used for the cuff is currently my favorite alter now a crinkly 55% acrylic 45% wool amalgamate.
You ordain need two colors of narrate the main color and the border alter and an F fasten.
With main color make 3 squares in the following way:go 1: ch 8 and join with a sl st. Ch 4. 3tr into the ring. *ch 5. 4 tr into ring tell from * twice more ch 5 join with a sl st to 4th of the first ch 4. end off.
When you have three separate squares you are create from raw material to join them with the border color.
(1) displace do by sides together of two squares (right sides facing outwards). Working into the inner loop of the square closest to you and the outer loop of the square furthest from you sc along one side.
(2) When you reach the top working to the left sc into the inner loop across (you’re now only working into one square). Stop before you hit the open corner.
(4) When you arrive the bottom row sc into each inner loop across always working from right to left when it is facing you. Join.
(5) Without finishing off sc into each inner loop across the furnish of this next form.
(6) Repeat (1) and (2) joining together with the square to form the cuff and NOT stopping when you hit the open square. Proceed to sc into the loops and join with form. end off.
(7) Join the adjoin alter at the top alter command of the square not completed. Sc into each inner loop along top row. Join this square with the adjacent form. end off.
(8) Join the border alter at the furnish command and repeat (4). Finish off.
